China's foreign reserves surge to record US$818.9b
China's foreign currency reserves rose 34 per cent last year to a record high US$818.9 billion amid surging exports, state media reported on Monday.
This report indicates a rising trend of foreign businesses importing Chinese produced products and services. The rise in foreign currency reserves will further exacerbate the pressure of RMB appreciation.
